*edit*
Apparently the information provided by an anonymous commenter on ETT was incorrect. If someone did call the cops on Nicky, it wasn’t a family member. Of course, it’s possible the cops said something like that to the Nickster when they found him. It’s not unusual for them to bullshit with someone to get the information they want. It’s a working theory, anyway.
==================================
Just found this a couple of minutes ago, left in a comment on ETT. Apparently there’s more to the story of Nicky’s tangle with the cops than Kim mentioned in her email correspondence with me.

Anonymous said… - I’m not related to Nicky, I have nothing to do with nor know the douches that gave you bad information this week ETT, but I was the one that sent the anonymous email about him and the cops the day before yesterday. I guess I can see why you were weary about posting what I sent. I am neither Kim nor Mike, who apparently told Rusty.
What they either forgot to tell her, or Rusty kept off her site, was that the cops picked him up because they were called by his family. There was an odd phone call the first night, money and bus issues the following night, so they, being paranoid about him leaving the house because his success rate of doing so is something like 5%, called the cops on him out of concern.
I’m inclined to believe this. Remember that hilarious video Nicky made of himself in the hostel back in January, with the smirking guy in the background? He made that in response to his family members trying to track him down when he was gone for a few days, and hadn’t touched base with them. Anyway, this tidbit makes sense, given his track record.

I don’t know who that person is, but no one in this family called the police on Nick. They obviously know more than I do about that night. All I know is that the police showed up at the front door and told us Nick had been arressted. And we went from there. What bothers me is the use of “douches” in the email. That is a word that I have heard Nick use many times.
It’s also possible that someone called the cops representing themselves erroneously as a family member. Or that the message was garbled along the line. Or that the cop misrepresented it. Or that Nikki misrepresented it to whomever he told about it.
The cop probably misrepresented it.
Kim: What words hasn’t Nick used in the past. He came up with some I have never even heard of before, and that is saying something!
The grammar is much better than Nick’s however, so I doubt it was him.
