P&E Being Sued

From Absolute Write, it seems P&E is being sued by Barbara Bauer, a notorious “literary agent,” and Victor Cretella, the equally notorious lawyer for PublishAmerica. The entire thread is worth reading. In the meantime, I’ve taken the liberty of copying and pasting this one entry from Mr. Kuzminski about it.

Okay, just to further clarify matters. P&E is being sued by Barbara Bauer and by Victor E. Cretella, III, Esq. in two separate courts.

Ms. Bauer is a literary agent who alleges I/P&E called her a scam and a scammer and is suing for libel.

Mr. Cretella is an attorney for PublishAmerica. He alleges I/P&E harmed his reputation by reporting him to the Maryland State Bar Association and his former employer for his actions against a member of Absolute Write and is suing for libel.

If anyone needs the code, you can email me and I’ll email back the code needed for pasting the button on your site.

Dave K. was kind enough to send me the code to insert. Alas, WordPress strikes again. It seems to me that it strips out more than java. I hope the resulting sidebar box I had to go with instead is prominent enough.

Everyone should open a forum/site on these guys. Hell, they can’t sue everyone, that would be too expensive and put them out of business.

You’re going to see pretty language out of me here, just as a warning.

What fucking WHINEY asses. How the HELL can you sue someone–especially for P & E–when what they’re saying is true? I bet PublishAmerica gets laughed out of the court system. Actually, I HOPE they do. PA scams WAY too many new authors and basically steals their work.

If I had money, I’d donate to this cause. This REALLY fucking sucks; P & E is a good resource; it shouldn’t be attacked because it only points people in the right direction. I myself actually have P & E on my links page on my website…

Fucking idiots.
